Make sure you have plenty of space around the log burner in the chimney breast or it'll just heat up your brickwork rather than heating the room but then the chimney will act as a storage heater, so it's swings and roundabouts.... depends whether you want to quickly heat up your room or slow release of heat over many hours after the fire goes out.

Morso squirrels have a good rep, and are availible used, but theyre still cast.
Im keener on welded stoves, as they dont crack in the same way.
Burly hollywell etc. is a nice stove, or any of the woodwarms.
You can have a wood lintle, with a twin wall. I think the clearence is 50mm. Our stoves both have wooden lintels, hence both have twin wall.

Few things that may help some people further.
A mortar gun from toolstation for pointing the bricks and grouting helped a lot. She didn't want grout in the unfilled tiles.
25mm slithers of tile glued 5mm back gives you a nice level for the carpet to run into and ensures you get at least 12mm as per regs. You could just use a 4mm bed on 8mm tiles.

Ours is made by stanly has a back boiler too. Quality stoves are worth paying the extra for. Harth made out of old stone, slate tiles, and a couple of old stone gateposts.
The sleeper was new and has sice been oiled with oak kitchen bench treatment. It has shrunk a touch and always has the obligotary crack along the plaster. If I was to do it again Id cut up a gate post for the mantle too.

I have just finished the install of my own wood burner and mine is a Charnwood LA. My fire does have a back boiler and is also a flush finish to the wall. Sorry no photos but Google it and you will see what I mean.
First thing I did was knock out the old chimney breast and establish that there was a lintel and it wasn't wooden, In my case the house was built around 1900 so the chimney support is actually a piece of steel.
Next I built a plinth for the fire to sit on as we wanted it to be raised slightly, After this had dried I had a chimney sweep come in and sweep the old chimney and also perform a smoke test to find out if I needed a flue liner. Smoke test conducted and no liner needed.
I then followed the guide lines of the manufacturer for the install of the fire and back boiler system. All very straight forward and standard.
The only thing I did check was if I lived in a smokeless area which I don't so no issues.
The fire came from Ebay and is second hand and all other parts were also sourced from the internet.
A tip on fitting a flue liner if you do need one is pull it up from the bottom rather than feeding it in from the top its much easier. I have had this from a very good friend of mine that does it for a living.
