I've been practicing with my new welder. I'm running flux core until I can get my Lincoln set-up with gas.
My first project was a repair on the inner rocker panel of my 1991 MX-5. I'm welding 16 gauge sheet metal and although it's not a pretty weld, it seems to be very solid - so I'm pleased.
My question is general in nature but I'm thinking ahead to the next stage of my project when I weld in the patch panel for the outer door skin. How do you know when to use multiple spot welds as opposed to trying to weld a full bead?
Any help and comments are appreciated.
Chris
