As Shenion says, up the power a little and slow down a touch as well. Good first try though, keep on practising. Practice running some long beads on some old metal (make sure rust and paint is ground off) then try and weld a few pieces together. Dont just go straight to the bike to start with. I'd grind off those welds and start again. With a bike it has to be a proper job. Dont despair though, keep it up.
Photo 1 looks worrying weld is ' sitting on top and not fused to the tubing , looks like it got better as you went on , needs to be right for a Motorcycle frame
Before you go to the real 'welding', you need to perfect the type of joint you will be welding.
Not a bad attempt, the first picture, as has been said looks way to cold! the other's look like you have been stop/starting all the time. Round type joint are totally different to weld than downhand, practise the joints you need and when you are totally confident doing them, then perform the actual weld!
I've not got welding experience but if it helps, I wouldn't take that bike as a gift and ride it.
So please do as they say, grind down and get some practice in and come back, don't take anything here personally welding ain't easy.
Cheers lads, thank you fo your input, and no offence taken i will grind back and try again, its just so much harder than doing it on the bench and I was scared of blowing holes, and I cant follow the joint well and keep going off line. I dont drink when I am doing it, but do live at a WM club, and it's a Z1000
