I can say with a tiny bit of experience that AC aluminium welding is not easy!
I worked out my TA 206i was working fine after taking the foot pedal to bits thinking it was broken. So 100% on the foot pedal dial means no power where 0% is full power...
Lesson learned and I tried to use Richards guide to get my settings to work, I can only get it to work with AC balance at 30% presently. Some of the settings mean little to me, the selector button under the AC/DC switch is I presume pulse? I can only get success with it on the straight line...likley my incomptenance presently.
So here are the settings I have and the excuse for welds I have achieved with filler rod. Much practice required of course.
Any advice on settings for this machine are welcome. Using grey tungsten and number 8 cup.
