bought the welder secondhand last nov 2007, just got around to getting some gas sorted, using cougar argon/co2.
the welder is a merkle 185 , it has 7steps for voltage and 7 steps for wire feed speed enclosing a picture of my first ever go with a mig welder . have used a stick for about 5 months and deside i wanted to try mig welding.
in the picture from center to right are
1/1 this was mig set at one for volts and one for wire speed.
2/2this was set to two volts and two wire speed
3/3 (last weld on right of picture) the setting were three volts and three wire speed.
the 2 welds on the left of the picture were on the 3 and 3 setting put tried to move the torch a little side to side.
would love to here your views to the setting please and the gas pressure i used, i just turned on the gas till i could here it. thanks for reading and your views
