traded from a mig to a tig a few weeks ago, and have had my first go with the tig tonight.
I can only say its absolutely superb, a delight to weld with and an absolute revelation compared to welding with a pocket mig.
as it was a second hand machine left the pre and post gas settings as they were, but the downslope control took a bit of sussing ( tip, read the book).
did some mild steel sheet joints to get the feel for the machine, and ended up with welding a gearstick extension on for my kit car- looks a really good job.
looking forward to making the bracketry etc for the kit car. I know mig has its place but cant see me going back- Im one happy bunny
