First big project, Big engined Buggy

orite lads,how are you all?
Just planning my first big project,had a chat with my uncle whos a welder fabricator and hes up for it.
The plan is a scaled down version of a i think its piranah type single seater buggy but with a few modifications to suit. Im looking for a quad rollign chassis at the moment so i can use the rack and pinion although i will proably change to a car one ,the axle wheels tyres suspension a arms and a few other bits but with some modification.
The planned motor is a honda fireblade engine
This will probably be a long project but i will let you know as soon as we get it going :P .
Just wondering if anyone has done such a build on here and if you have any advice,cheers all

I am looking for and collecting bits for mine. a modded rover metro rack an pinon is a good one for the piranha but needs shortening while part of the coloum needs making longer. Also there is a couple of us building pirahnas here

Anyway, aside from the advice on here, there's usually plenty of parts and advice over on muddybuggy for this sort of thing, seen a few modified piranah builds on there before.

From what I am lead to belive if these are the road legeal buggys, they have a v low bhp output in-order to be classed as havey quads in respect of the IVA/SVA but I might be wrong So as a complete guess they just look the part but with no get up and go and I reckon they would be useless of road.

yes its a road legal buggy, which is what i wanted, ill rarely use it off road i suppose.

i cant comment on the power, i bought it cheap on a whim. im not even into buggies or quads. ill use it for the summer and sell it in november at an obscene profit.

im only trying to find out what engine oil it takes (250cc 4 stroke single cyl) and where the chassis number is stamped.
