First attempt at tig

Finally got a chance to set up the welder and try my hand at tig.
Few things I've got to suss out are
1: since its a lift arc I have to be quicker starting the arc, keep sticking the tungsten.
2: valved torch, remember to turn gas on
Anyway so far I'm happy with my attempts, feel free to criticise/advise...

^^ You're coming at it faster than me, I need to apply myself and get some good, long practise stints in......

Try to have no gaps to start with as Tommy TIG don't like gaps, it can be done and holes can be filled etc but its nice to have more current control from a dedicated TIG set when doing that.
Also, maybe do shorter runs, because you have no switch on the torch and no downslope, and are stuck with the one current; the job heats up and you need to go faster and you can lose control a bit.
So do a couple of inches then shift along the workpiece, that may help, but looking not too bad.
Maybe up your gas? with Lift TIG, it can be a pain to get the puddle started and you tend to up the amps, try dabbing in a dot of filler to see that will get her going if you havent already tried that.

Progressing well enough, keep at it just drop the juice a fraction maybe and have a play about with that bit

Don't mess with much else just yet imo. It might well be ok as is and just lacking filler
