Finally got a chance to set up the welder and try my hand at tig.
Few things I've got to suss out are
1: since its a lift arc I have to be quicker starting the arc, keep sticking the tungsten.
2: valved torch, remember to turn gas on
Anyway so far I'm happy with my attempts, feel free to criticise/advise...
first go, no filler

few more trys

first butt, too wide a gap not enough filler?

second

third

fourth

tried a filet, forgot to clean material, angles wrong, lots of undercut

more practice to do but I was having fun
