I found runs on aluminium pretty easy first time, and got similar results.
Actual joints were a bit more tricky as the job heats up and I could not go fast enough.
Got a pedal now so hope that will help.
Good job, have go at making some small trays /boxes now.
Keep a note of your settings even if your machine has a memory.
All those runs look contaminated more so towards the right side.
Put up some info regarding plate thickness/type, filler type/size, tungsten type/size. And your welding conditions.
Id disagree with trying out joints at this time until your results on the plate are looking better. As rightly said above performing a fillet or outside corner joint requires much more skill and understanding of the process.
Thanks for the advise so far,
Last nights attempts were on 3mm with 2.4 tungsten and rods, today I had another quick go on a piece of old 1.6, need to figure out the settings for the machine as at the moment I don't have a foot pedal and I can't figure out what I should be setting the down slope current at!
Cheers,
James
