Well its actually the second the first having a cooper engine put in, but we sold it as we all decided that keeping the car Named Christine just like the movie about a demonic car 
caused more bloodshed and turned the air red when we worked on it. So this 1 was started with me having mixed feelings when I set about it with the angle grinder to cut the wings and front panel off.
Once done and the new parts arrived it was time for me to try out my welding skills new to it but did have on lookers and good comments but im afraid no camera to show how good
well it was not bad
the welding was, down to prep and using a tool to make spot weld holes.
took me 2 days to put the new parts on most fitted fine but had to fettle the drivers wing as parts were not original mini parts but pattern parts very good ones never the less,
So it was nearly done and a week done the line in primmer and ready for paint.
second car painted the other Mini was white so thought id do this one Lazer red with white roof and pearl over the white, so here it is just before i put it on the road earlier this year almost ready to drive need to have the front grille and number plate added.
I have had some good comments on it, one from the future son in law father as He does bodywork and spraying for a living. the best comment I had was the look on my daughters face when it passed the mot and she was able to use it for work and go to this years mini show.
