What a journey it has been. Stage 2 for something else logistics related will be hopefully ready in 2 to 3 months.

It is a truly intelligent system and trainable.

HS / Tariff codes are very difficult to tackle. 97,000 of them - many not changed in 50 years. Often there is no correct answer - you have to pick the best fit that will work on the day.

Yes indeed. 10 hours a day or more for about 5 months.
There is a huge gap between a prototype and production ready.
The core engine is the clever part. Can do a lot more than customs.

It will take time to build.
There were 86 million customs declarations done in the UK last year. If we get 0.1% of that i will be happy.
Stage 2 will be a bigger money spinner and quicker to gow I think.

I'd be willing to bet you'll get more, once people realise what it can do. Why do something manually, even if you know what you're doing, if there's a quicker way?

My bulk invoice parser add on will be ready next week. That will take a 100 line commercial invoice in any format. Scan it for products and hs codes. Suggest alternatives if wrong or missing. Takes about 3 minutes cold or 30 seconds when it sees a similar invoice next time. That would take a customs agent all day so in reality they dont check. Only when they go to submit to hmrc do errors show up. Then back and forth with the customer trying to fix it.

So manually in a day, or a few minutes on the computer. I know what I'd do, and which would work out cheaper, whatever the computer fee is to use the system. Absolute no brainer.
