Hi everyone finally a plasma cutter came home .
It's not mine but it's likely to become ,the owner is a friend of mine and he's just curious to see if it can be repair and he already told me that could be mine .
Anyway I will try to fix it and maybe ask to borrow it if I'll need it (he has 3 plasma cutters)
I've already proceeded to take a look inside to see if there is something obviously damaged , and apparently there is nothing wrong.
I didn't plug it already because I wanted to take a look inside prior to give power.
I know that it doesn't give any sign of life .
First check said that power cord , switch , and fuse are fine .
I think that could probably be some IGBT which have failed.
My major concern is that the related components to the IGBTs (resistors capacitors and diodes ) are all smd
Tomorrow I'll have to repair a chainsaw in the morning , but after done this I will plug the plasma cutter to see how it does
I would like to receive advice about as what to check first for example , I'm not in hurry ,I just want to do things the right way
