Filler for EN16 stub axle to CDS or T45

Hi all

Just a quick one i am in the process of designing some front suspension uprights and want to weld a EN16 stub axle into a peice of 2"x14swg CDS or 16swg T45

Question is which filler should i be using my first thought was standard A15 or A18 for the CDS and A32 for the T45?

How far off the mark am i???

A15 1st for the CDS A18 2nd choice. Can't help with the T45, but I know man that does. Im sure he'll be along soon

Your T45 thin wall tube will be fine using a15 and in this application you can also use it for the En16 (In a different application you might need a different weld metal)
However I would preheat the En16 to about 150oC before welding.

Had it been a butt weld the A32 would be a good choice but then the preheat would be more critical.
