Hello. I have a deko welder, it's a 250A "rated" machine. this machine costed about $60, DC inverter, albeit it produces good welds, its amperage readings are way, way off, leading me to suspect it's actually a 125A board. Yes i know this sounds like a "machine" question, but it's actually a welding question. I THINK, when i read 140A, it means 70ish. From these welds pictures, do you figure i am right in assuming half the amperage? The image refer to 6013 rod 3/32 or 2.5mm on a 3mm plate. to me, it seems best welds come out between 140 and 150A.
How can i gauge if the amperage is right by the welds i make?

Thank you!
