Fiesta Squeak

Very recently, past couple of journeys, MrsGs Fiesta (2016 Mk7?) has developed a squeak (squeal?) from what sounds like the front OS wheel area.
Only when going slowly (sub 30mph), only when turning slightly and pretty much only in one direction (can't for the life of me commit to which one now )
I replaced discs and pads about 9 months ago. Could pads be the source of such a thing. In my experience brakes only squeal/squeak when used if they are going to make a noise.
Going to try and have a look tomorrow if the weather holds, anything I should be looking for, checking? I was thinking potential wheel bearing, but that would rumble wouldn't it? If it is that then a garage can have it, looks like far too much of a job.

I had exactly that on a mk6 Transit camper. Changed the pads before going to France & Spain, they squealed & graunched so badly I ended up on campsites with the wheel off trying to find out what was wrong. It was worse on lock, I think it just moved in the bearing enough to make it worse. These were APEC pads, when I got back I chucked them our & bought Ford ones, never had a problem since. This would happen as yours does just driving, where the pad just kiss this disc was enough to make a noise. Someone else on here was complaining about APEC pads as well, being noisy.

Mintex Discs and Pagid pads.

It's likely to be the pads. Make sure that if the caliper is a single piston, the sliders are free to move.

Pagid gone downhill. Ford discs and pads outlast them twice the life.

Had similar on Focus, after changing pads and discs. The noise wax from the driver's side.

It was just in the edge of hearing and disappeared above about 45mph.

So as it appeared after the brake works, that's were I concentrated my investigation.

After a few weekend of work I was stumped, it went for a MOT and failed on the driver's side outer CV joint worn.

Replaced the shaft and the noise went.
