Fiesta Electric Window issue

Went out for the food shopping this morning, took MrsG's 2016 Fiesta.
Everything a bit damp so as usual wound down the windows to wipe them clear.
Drivers side fine. Passenger side went down about an inch and stopped.

No odd noises.
Further presses of button would make it go no further.
Closes via the button okay.
Does the same thing whether using the driver or passenger button.
Definitely not frozen, not cold enough and still the same when I got back later.

Any ideas?

Glass sticking in the runners? I have used silicon spray lube in the past

Not sure if this still works but you used to be able to reset electric windows by fully closing and holding/pulling the button in the closed position, depending on how your buttons function, for a few seconds, should work ok after that unless it's something more terminal/mechanical.

Well Melvyn gets the prize.

Was just a load of grot along the seal/in the front runner. Having attacked it with paper towel, an old credit card and some silicon spray, it's back to it's old self
Wish all fixes were that easy and cheap.

Interesting - my wife's Fiesta did exactly the same. I wondered if it was because she had been repeatedly trying to open it when it was frozen solid. Anyhow, she had to self isolate for 10 days so couldn't take it to the dealer (I couldn't be *rsed to fiddle with it). The car was stood unsused for the 10 days because I prefer to use my own. Once she was allowed out it was working perfectly again. That was a little while ago and no re-occurence yet. Very odd - everything you say e.g. drivers side, one inch of movement, etc. was the same. Hers is not long out of warranty so is probably a bit newer than yours (she is on the phone at the mo or I would ask her).

Edit. Doh, just noticed you said passenger side - ours was the drivers side.
