Fence post spike best for this or?

Any thoughs here lads

Post needs replacing it's fitted right on the edge of a concrete area as you can see the pressure has crack off the edge

Was thinking rather than try and cement in a new one,a spike hammered in then cemented would be stronger?

Bolt down wouldn't have enough to bolt to on next doors side

Any ideas

Are you on both sides of the fence,ie your land/property?
If so,I'd put a spur on the other side,will still mean digging but theres no other way round it

nah just what you can see , next door has a post 6-8 " away

in fairness its lasted 20 years ...but i dont like the idea that its cemented only on 3 sides

I used those concrete in ones. The quality is very good, galv then painted. Looks like the spike version is just as good.
Avoid b&q as its all 70x70 nonstandard

Less than 6 inches each side probably. Maybe only 4 inches. Not at my own house so cant check. Used about half a bag of postcrete on one.

The hole was roughly done and towards the bottom maybe only 1 inch bigger all round than the post mount.

If its your fence and the boundary line blah blah blah and if neighbour is happy dig it out and replace save flaffing about

still chewing over what to get

say the concrete in ones...how would i estimate how big the lump o concrete needs to be to keep it solid ?
