Hi folks,
Just wondering if I could get some feedback on today's practice beads?
I did an evening course a couple of years ago but only pushed the button on a welder last week. I opted for the Paton Standard 160 and it seems likes a decent machine.
One thing I'm struggling with is the start and I'm not sure if it's me or the machine, but it seems to struggle to get going..
I see molten metal, and there's a nice sizzle, but no puddle to speak of, it then kicks in and the arc is more of a pronounced blue and the sound changes to more of a whoosh popping?
Thanks!
