FC-5B Foot Controller Wanted

I need a FC-5B foot controller for my Murex Tradestig 161

Looked at a number of sites and find new ones expensive. So if anyone has a good secondhand one let me know how much and we might have a deal.

If not I suppose I can wait until I visit the US and get one there at half our price!

For what its worth, I got a new deluxe foot pedal from the states over the internet, for my lincoln V205-T. It was just short of a £100-00, From a firm called SSC. they make the original pedals for all the big manufacturers. my deluxe has a seperate toe switch so that the arc can be started independant of the amp pedal, works great

Hello Sean,
The foot pedal platform has a seperate toe section that operates first just for the high frequency start, continuing to press brings in the amps. SSC explained it to me that it was for starting the arc without maybe pressing the pedal too far and getting more amps than you wanted at start up. probably more of a gimick than an experienced welder would need. I'v got a small image of the pedal,hope you can see it O.K

I'm only just learning to tig,tried with just a button on the torch,Not too successfully I might add. sent for the pedal and noticed it was much easier to control the heat and power, The extra arc starter toe pedal works really great.Wish there was a member living quite close to give me a little hands on instruction,
