Made me wonder. What do they call Tea spoons in America

Just got off the phone to some absolute moon unit advertising for pickups. Anywhere in Highlands and Islands we collect. Best prices paid etc etc.

Wanted to pay less than scrap value and we don’t do Orkney.

He kept me on the phone for ages while he hummed and ha’d and told stupid stories before he dropped the above nugget of information.

His vocabulary has been enriched

It’s still teaspoon, tablespoon and butter knife I think it’s more universal probably coming from the person doing the baking or Mr & Ms cheap giving guests less in the cuppa. What I don’t understand is drams I mean what the He££? If we need a dram measure Dad would get out the pharmacy container as their stamped on the bottom then estimate.

Followed your link and came across this, not amused just upset that someone made a right cods out of a nice CX, ok they're marmite but I loved mine, had much bigger faster bikes but CX's are the ones that bring on the warm fuzzies. Toured all over the continent; up and down the dollies, the alps, picos. Brake fade & the weight, just the thought puts my back out.
Gonna try and treasure the memories rather than hold a grudge against this criminal:

What's wrong with the Discovery? That's scrap money being offered and if it is working with an MOT then it is worth much more advertised as a 7 seater.

Still has a half year mot but, radiator split and dumped coolant into the auto box. Was going to see if it could be saved but in the process of sorting some other issues found pretty terminal body rot while trying to sort some of the body work damage it had. So I’m going between spending a lot of cash on it or cutting my losses. Don’t particularly like the idea of selling a car that even though it has an mot if it was presented for one today it would fail.

So it’s either get welding or off to the scrap heap don’t have the space to break it unfortunately.
