Been having intermitent welding problems with my Kemppi Super Kempomat, I scoured this site for advice given to other members with problem Kempomat machines. After carrying out tests and taking readings with a meter, I could not come up with any way to solve the fault.
I had come across posts where people mentioned Ashley Tinker as a man who could fix electronic boards. I sent Ashley an Email, describing the fault, He phoned me and we discussed the problem I was having, which was nice of him I thought. Anyway the long and short of it is that I sent the board to Ashley to test it and rectify it, if fault was found ( there were two as it turned out). Time taken from me to him and back --7 days. I installed the board and was back welding within 1 hour of the courier dropping off the parcel.
Now the reason for this post is two fold. First a thank you to all those people who have indirectly helped me while trying to help other people fix their machines, on this site, and two a thank you to Ashley Tinker, who's good work has resurrected a 35 year old welder and saved it from the scrap pile.
