Fabrication tutorial/method's?

OK I'm new to all of this and as a lot of people do I'll be having a go at the like's of obligatory wood burner so I can practice my new found love of welding.

After reading through threads of other people's burner (and other things) constructions it got me thinking.
Other than buying a plasma cutter, which is well out of my price range, how do people cut/shape there sheet steel?

I only have basic tools like grinders, drills, jigsaw a etc though I may be getting oxy acetaline soon I if the bottles are still in test.

Are the any good tutorials/videos out there for the beginner fabricator?

I know its a bit of a vague question, but I'm not sure where to start really.

The tools you mention are about right and the one's many people use to get some fantastic shapes.

The grinder with a thin cutting disc for straight and shallow curve cuts, the jigsaw (with a quality metal blade) for curves.

You can stitch drill a shape, large hole saws can also provide some ornate cuts.

It's just a case of whatever tool you can fit into the shape and accepting it takes time.

For thinner sheet there is of course a massive range of hand held and vice held tools available.

Try youtube with various searches steel cutting, steel shaping, metal cutting tool etc etc

Does that include scratching your backside
