F Clamps

I'm looking to pick up some F clamps soon. I want to buy decent kit, but money as always, is an issue!

Currently, I'm looking at these, from Teng, which i've found for £43 inc vat

300m x 140mm

Can anyone suggest any alternatives?

Bessey Clamps, are worth considering

I know im not alone, i think Paul and Snowy also use them, Piher.
A bit cheaper than thoose and a good range of sizes aswell.
I got mine fro WellyWeld, no pics on the site though.

Just looked at the Bessey range, far more choice, both in generally and in the same style. I've just done a like-for-like compare and they're practically the same, couple of quid in it.

Here, found the Piher Catalogue, so you can see what they are for the prices.

I think the ones i have are F50s

Carvers are good too, I have a few of their rack clamps, if you want something to abuse they are worth having

carver bar clamps are good as they can be reversed to push apart as well as pull together

i have 2 200mm irwin speed clamps for my kitchen worktop jig they are a very good and strong

Carvers are a good clamp, but the bessey and piher clamps are excellent for one handed use.
Trying to put a carver on, one handed, nigh-on impossible.
All of these are virtually indestructable i would say.

you can get carvers for £25-£30 secondhand on ebay
