extra wide car ramps - advice or build opportunity

I own a kia Sorento 4 x 4 with 255 wide tyres (2.1 ton) and am looking at getting underneath in the summer months to do a few jobs but no matter how much i search i cant find any car ramps wide enough to accomodate the tyres. Any ideas where i can pick some up OR would anyone be interested in knocking a pair up for £ notes (i just havent got the time at the moment as my elderly parents have moved in a bungalow opposite and i am at their beck and call) - Mark

I had the same problem with my Shogun, 265 width tyres, I bought a trolley jack and 4 axle stands SWL 6 ton pair "just to be on the safe side" . VAT free from M-Mart, loads of room underneath.

When I had a XJ6 the tyres were too wide for normal "cheap and cheerful" ramps however I easily managed to source some wider items that are still used 20+ years later. It is just a case of looking around.

Use two per side & bolt on (or weld) some angle iron new treads across them both.

4x4 ramps

4x4 ramps on fleybay should do you if your tyres overhang the ramps as long as the overhang is equal both sides should be ok
the fleybay ramps are 2.5 ton heavy duty ones
