Extension Cable Issue

Not sure where to post this, here goes.

I have one of these , model number SW0038B

The power cord is to short so trying to find a 5m extension lead.

The DC male end on the 3 pin is this, ( sorry for poor quality ).

I found this below but a little concerned the male/female DC ends are a little different to that of the power cord fitted to the 3 pin plug.

Will it do/work?

This is what I was thinking and can do so but it would be easier if not neater to extend the existing power cord if possible.

ONT Power supplies fail and openereach will blame your extension and Bill you for the visit. They will say that increased resistance caused the power supply to fail.

Or cut the lead and splice in an extension neatly. Warranties etc obvs voided...

Trailing leads about does my nut in….so much so I fitted an extra socket for the router to avoid it!

Mine to but it was a question of needs must, it's been sorted but at some point I will install extra sockets.

Had I been able to extend the existing power cord lead to existing socket outlets I'd have done it that way.
