Hi. I am after peoples thoughts on a problem I have with my 2010 Volvo xc70 d5.
After being parked up for a few months, it wouldn't start. Cranks over with no sign of starting.
As I live in middle of nowhere I had to get a mate who owns a garage and specialises in the ecu side to come and have a look. His scanner showed no issues. Very slightly low fuel pressure but not enough to not start. He said give it a sniff of easi start just to see if it would fire.
It fired for a split second before blowing the inlet manifold to bits!
I cant see how you would get ignition in the inlet. I have checked cam timing and its correct.
I have sourced a replacement manifold but reluctant to fit until I can find the reason for blowing the original manifold.
