Exhibition invite North herefordshire

Last minute invite (some fool forgot).
I am taking part in the Design For Living show at Hampton Court near Leominster this weekend.
I will be there all day Saturday and Sunday, free glass of cider for any of you guys who make it.
The place is frightfully posh, lovely gardens and all that nonsense and a groovy pad to go mooching around, also has the poshest bogs I have ever been in.
First time in my life I have wanted to steal somebody's loo.
Quite a bit of metal sculpture by other people as well.

Oh by the way I have booked a mini heatwave for the weekend centred upon our site.
I was lucky I was able to borrow a marquee from a mate so we will sat in comfort watching all the drowning rats. Will try and get pics up this evening.
Now I must put on my artists face and whore myself out to the public.

Had a great weekend.
Weather was very good to us, lots of people about and I did well sales wise.
Some nasty man has bought my favourite piece of work.

A sculpture of a Diatom, about 1m tall, a few weeks I made a spinning mechanism that I think clinched the deal.
Gutted to see it gone and I am not gong to try and replicate it.
I dont often get attached to my work but that one is special. But at just under £2k I cant complain. Too much.

I might also have a buyer for my big seahorse, if that goes I will be completely gutted.
Now I have to get cracking as I have my art week event in September and three of my best major works have gone.
Ho Hum.

My father used to know a guy that built stuff. When he sold them, he informed the buyer that they were only looking after it, and it really still belonged to him and he might come round to see it without notice, so they better look after it

Yes, that would be terrible, someone buying your stuff and then not looking after it, heartbreaking!

I'm sure that it's gone to a good home!
