Exhaust welding advice.

Any advice on welding the hangers back onto my exhaust as it will be different guage steels?

Will be using a Clarke 90 pro running flux core (have gas but no reg and can't really afford right now).

Any help appreciated, need to keep the car running on the cheap.

The casing will be very thin so just bias the heat towards the thicker hanger and allow the weld to 'wash' onto the thin stuff. If you blow holes then you'll just have to turn the power right down and fill them in afterwards.

just bee prepared for a whole lot of frustration and pain, exhausts really arn't fun

And make sure you earth properly on the exhaust, not the car body!

Best to remove battery first? Think it shouldn't matter in theory.
