As requested by JayRS4 here's some piccy's of the exhaust I made.
Thanks to Jay for the loan of the SS wire reel (very trusting indeed) and really nice to meet you, Cheers.
Well I looked into what was available on the market for my brothers Elise but just wanted something different as his car already has a valve actuating system in the original exhaust and thought (Aston/Ferrari???) I fancy using this?!!
So I bought some SS bends etc and found Birchills Automotive (who use in their silencers a well recomended packing) so ordered the two silencers I wanted. I already had the valve I needed and off I went.
Needed to create a bend to maximise the very limited space, Then lined the silencers up and attached them together, I was only tacking things together as I was getting a pro to Tig the whole thing together properly for me.
As I progressed I managed to line things up well, got the hanging rods on and continued to line up the bends and fit the valve, when I got the first tailpipe on I started to become excited!! Then theres the piccy of the finished system on the floor. And finally the finished product on the car (less impressive being hidden away like that?!)
I'm really happy with the results especially seeing as nobody else has what I (read my brother!) has!! Sounds great, passes track noise tests (with valve disconnected and closed) and is very comfortable when cruising/motorway etc but Screams beautifully when flooring it

Thanks to those who helped/advised when I was asking about the SS wire and Tig welders.
I took Jay out in it when I returned his SS wire and he seemed impressed (hope you weren't just being polite!!)
I had already made one which was a different design more suited to road use as It's a little louder (valve open) so poss wouldn't get on track but made a higher pitch scream at high revs and sounded fantastic which I need to sell to claw back some dosh incase anyone out there has (or knows someone who has) a series 2 Elise 111S or 135R model?
Just checking!!!
