I've just started doing some welding for a firm Gibson Exhausts. They do everything from pie cuts or sheet steelsteel.
Thats interesting.................they used to do lots of 2T exhausts back in the day, but think the firm got sold and someone else running it now?
Are they in Harold hill on the potato farm?I've just started doing some welding for a firm Gibson Exhausts. They do everything from pie cuts or sheet steelsteel.
JP Exhausts sell tight radius bends at a good price
Maniflow may be up there, especially with regards to value for money for some of their products for classics, but in absolute terms there's quite a few others about like OJZ, Alunox, Chris Tullett, Primary Designs, GoodFabs etc
I wouldn't be suprised if Akrapovic are using DMLS, at least for prototyping, alongside hydroforming and various pressed and cast parts
Laser sintered collector and some other components getting assembled into a GoodFabs exhaust...
and a 4-1 made from two pressed halves http://www.goodfabs.com/bends-and-pressings/pressing.aspx
Dunno know if it's even possible with materials like 304L at the wall factors used for typical exhaust bits but i doubt you'll find anything tighter than 1D CLR anywhere. If they do exist i'd hate to think how thin the wall gets at the outside of the bend due to the amount of stretching neededI have found 1D about the tightest rad available..............can they do tighter at all?
