exchange/refill out of date bottle

Hello
Any advice on replacement gas bottle please.
I have a cheap old mig welder (Clarke Pro-90 mig) that I'd like to have available for the odd job here and there. It has a bottle nearly full of Co2. I don't know the exact size of the bottle, but it's about pub bottle size. The bottle however is very out of date and I don't want to risk using it.
Is it still possible to exchange this bottle for another by buying a refill?
If so, what sort of cost would I be looking at for the refill?

If it's full or part full you won't do any harm by using it up. If it's out of test you'll struggle to get it filled any place so that's not going to be an issue.
