Does anyone know of a source/part number for a cable mounted socket to match the ewm 5-pin plugs?

You need to shop around though, I used to buy the 37 way plugs for the back of Kemppi sets, £150 from Kemppi, £70 from RS and £40 from a specialist connector company down south.

Either thats a generic picture or that's not the right part number then.

That has a screw thread lock, the ewm has a bayonet lock

they are on e bay at 29 quid ,, if its just for a trigger switch you could leave the 5 pin in the machine and cut the cable a foot away from the plug and bung an xlr connector on as its only two wires , and they are two quid each and available everywhere , neutrik are the industry standard , tough as old boots and easy to work with.

bugger ,, they do 5 pin xlrs too , dmx uses them , again easy to work with and cheap
