Well I got my hands on a stainless blade for my new Rage 3, 230mm diameter instead of 255mm as they do not make a stainless blade for the Rage 3. It easily cut through 25mm diameter stainless bar twice, then on the third try it was half way through the bar and it was too blunt to continue. It was fun but expensive and I have concluded that this TCT tipped technolgy (if thats what it is?) is not to be taken seriously as a cutter of stainless.
I bought both the Rage circularsaw 185 and the Rage3 mitre saw. the little circular saw im very pleased with has gone through a load of angle iron but the mitre saw only a few scaffold poles and the blades were dull replaced blade and same thing happend so not pleased with that not even had the paint off the blades yet!. been promised replacement blades by their tech dept, not arrived yet though!
The RAGE selection of machines are generally good quality and work well
Just make sure you dont try to use a copy blade as it will just damage the saw motor.
All of the rage products come with a multipurpose blade so that they can cut a range of materials inc, steel, ali, wood & plastic.
I saw a demo last week cutting 2"x2" timber with nails in.
Quite impressive.
ive got a rage 2 , chopsaw and bought a stainless cutting blade from evolution cuts fine but thats on tube not solid bar . just as well ive had no problems the stainless blades are £100 ish
