evolution fury saw at b&q

brought one of these today, was £123 last week now down to £80.(got some gift cards so didnt cost me anything), have used one of these before and its fine for diy use, needs a slight fettle out of box to get it square. wouldnt take much notice of online stock checker, my store had 2 but online said no stock for 50 miles

My friend Norbert has one, good saw for the price.
Noisy, took me a while to set up square.
Best advice is when the supplied blade gives up the ghost, it will when it hits it's first nail. Put a good blade on it.

I am giving it a holiday, Norbert is stuck with family to cut up pallets and stuff.
Makes good gerbil bedding asw ell.

What blades does everyone recommended for the 210mm evolution saws, was looking to change my multipurpose out with one more designed with steel in mind

I just bought a Makita mitre saw was supposed to be 160 quid reduced to £140 and I had an extra 15 percent discount card so got even cheaper I got the fixed arm one as there more rigid than sliding as I want it for very accurate joints in wood up to 5 inch. . it has a 40 tooth quality blade. most are a lot less depends on what u are doing as to which u go for

Yes they are a little noisy and you do get covered in chips of hot metal sometimes, I'm going to add a vacuum to the back and see if it helps. For general diy use I found it good, the blade seemed to last a fair bit. I did many cuts in 50mm box section, 3mm wall thickness for the eyesore bellow, that took a blade.
