Ethanol petrol, low use cars, and Weber 32/32 with no drain screw?

I opened up the carb on my 1980 Suzuki jeep to see how it's holding up against that good old ethanol in our petrol in an infrequently used car. The float chamber showed separated petrol. The ethanol had separated away.

There's no drain screw on this Weber carb or I'd drain it frequently. Not sure I have the skills to add one

Put a shutoff valve on the fuel hose. Turn the fuel off with the engine running and let it run out of fuel

I have no experience to share in adding a drain screw but as it's an infrequently used vehicle, making up 10-20L of ethanol free petrol DIY style is a straight forward process and have done it myself.

It helps to only buy Super Unleaded which is max 5% and sometimes none apparently.

Esso do/did sell petrol with 0 ethanol in it.

It’s easy enough to remove the ethanol, if working with fairly small quantity of fuel too. YouTube shows details.

Esso was the only one that had zero ethanol in their E5, but they've discontinued that ~18 months ago.

I've seen the YouTube videos, bird watering cans apparently work well.
