Essex based welder needed for project

Good morning all, please forgive me if this is not allowed on this forum but I have a project which needs doing and I have neither the time nor skill to do it myself.

I have a 1997 Triumph Tiger and I want a bespoke pannier rack and aluminium panniers designed and manufactured in time for an extended overseas tour next spring. Although this bike is not that old, the kit is no longer commercially made and I have some specific needs.

At present my designs are at the 'back of a fag packet' stage so I need advice about materials, strength, possibilities etc. I am happy for someone to use this as a learning opportunity.

Of course I would pay for all materials and consumables and add a few quid for time etc. My budget is £500.

Hi Chunko, i'm not sure I understand. Is this sort of request against the rules or have I made some sort of faux pas? If so, then I apologise, but I just need some advice and work done. Is more information needed?

Norules breaking or owt like that.
This more of a self help forum then a 'get jobs done by others' place.
But a set of bespoke panniers and racks is a serious project for an experienced welder, not a bit of practicing.

Ahh, forgive my ignorance. However, if there is anyone out there willing to give it a shot I'd be grateful.

BTW I took a look at your website and your work is breath taking! I particularly liked the centipede made using the bike chain and the typewriter arms. You are a very fortunate man to have such a talent.

Easier to buy a rack system for something similar and adapt it than start from scratch. I made an unknown rack that was in the back of the shop fit onto a customer's Enfield by hacksawing and moving a couple of brackets and adding a steady bar to the footpeg hanger. It looked original with a bit of black paint squirted on it and took Givi panniers.

Also use steel for the rack.
Can be repaired anywhere in the wprld.
