Hi guys been passed this esab 215ic down to me been welding a
Few years but not used to digital setups or this machine .
Have taken home from a yard and come with torch on it but don’t seem to have any power at all when press mig torch noticed it doesn’t have a remote plug setup plug in torch is just standard uk Europe torch .
Could anyone tell me if I can use this without the black remote wired
In bud changing the settings of so can you help me set
This up so I can enjoy my new machine

The manual is online , and theres a fair few videos on that machine on you tube too ,

You don't need to have any sort of remote plugged in.
It should work just from the euro torch.
A quick way to get started is to put it into s-mig mode then just dial in the thickness of the material you want to weld

I looked at one , you dont need a remote , its the slightly newer version of the one I looked at , have a look on you tube some videos are in about three parts worthy of a watch.

Looking at the photo I would say you have it in Arc mode
Although you have rotated the dial to Mig/mag you now need to push it to select it then it will change orange (like the arc mode currently is)

Download the manual and have a read through. It's got a few useful features so worth reading up on.
I think you can also put it into a 'basic' mode if you don't want to have to deal with all the menu options

Thanks guys for all your help got to the bottom of it so basically the torch was broken so brand new torch and all good to go thanks again guys . Still need a good read up on the machine but you guys certainly helped
