Erbauer 18v battery

Hi all.
I have an Erbauer multitool that operates off a 4.0Ah battery.
I am going to buy an Erbauer impact wrench (for undoing wheel nuts etc).
The impact wrench is designed to be used with a 5.0Ah battery.
Question is - What would be the effect of fitting the 4.0Ah battery to the impact wrench?
Would I experience less torque or would it mean that the battery would run out of juice sooner?

Very slightly less "oomph" (hardly noticeable, really) and a shorter run time. Can't vouch for Erbauer, but that's what happens with DeWalt.

The "oomph" of the tool is given by the discharge capability of the battery.
The bigger battries don't necessarily have a bigger discharge capability.

Example (mad up numbers): the bosch normal batteries can supply 50amps but the procore bosch battries can supply 80amps.
So the 4ah procore can deliver more grunt than the 6ah regular one.

Metabo have the same thing with their 18v battries.

I've no idea about eabauer but they might well do the same thing?
Impact tools are certainly one of the tools where you notice the difference of a high discharge battery.

A 4ah will be two strings of parallel 2Ah cells, and 5Ah will be 2.5Ah cells. Quality of the cells will make more difference than the Ah rating as thats not much between them, but assuming the same quality, generally less torque and it will go flat sooner for a smaller battery.

No difference in power on my Makita stuff if it's a 3ah or a 5ah. The 3s don't last as long on high power tools like the grinder and circular saw

Really? I use (well used to) use my kit daily and honestly only difference was longevity. I expect a lot of my kit as well

It's a dtw 1002 model, big and heavy 1600 Mm loosening torque. With 3 ah battery couldn't undo tight wheel nut while with 5ah even CV joint nuts go easy. Maybe battery's age play role as well but I tried few different and effect is the same. I'm planning to buy 6ah for this one. I have smaller version as well dtw 285 and difference is less noticeable but still can say with bigger battery is more lively

Usually just a bit less run time, but occasionally a drop in power depending on what cells have been used and how the tool uses them.

Same here, notice it too on the angle grinder.

I've had 2Ah erbauer batteries apart & they contained good quality branded cells, Panasonic or Sony I think.
