Epson service disc

I don't suppose anyone has a service disc for epson printers.
I need to reset the waste ink lights.
My P50 and 1500w have both gone wrong at the same time.
Not that it helps , even if it worked fine it obviously would not help me with the sublimation but it would print the grandkids school photos. ( and calm.me down a bit) new A3 Epsons are 6 or 700 quid crazy prices.

Not download from epson. The service disc is locked to the engineers PC.
There is a full engineers service disc which allegedly resets the waste ink counter.l But it requires this as epson only use maths to hold the waste in in the old machines. The new ones have tanks BUT you still have to change them even.
Even though epson now charge 6 or 700 quid for an A3 printer. Robbin gitts.

I am.told there are some discs not locked to a PC but not seen any yet.

I had one (of the discs), maybe still lying around somewhere, I'll have a look.
Had a 740 and then two of those 3-in-1 things... the 740 is still in use with my mother but the big ones both went in the skip after the heads got bunged and missing too many bits - tried every solvent I could lay hands on but they never got much better. Hang on while I climb in the loft...

...nope, sorry. Must have chucked it in a clearout. Ironically I found the driver discs for the CX3200 and CX5400 though

no printer has a waste ink counter before you need to service it

service reset tool whilst the ink pad can be replaced you can then reset the whole machine back to factory settings

i used to have a drip tray under my printers just to catch excess over flowing ink as ink pad wasnt needed or you could use another type of ink collector instead

thats what heavy printers did with theres

i used other sources to get hold of the printers reset tool instead but i dont think it will work on windows 10-11 works on windows 7 though

Yeah I found those. One guy replied but is away till tomorrow. He will send it to my Dropbox after I purchase it.
Another guy refused to send it digitally in case my virus checker does not likebit. Lol
The other 3 guys Have not replied yet.

Biggest problem is. There are two types of reset one being via WIC or Inkchip both being single use code purchase needed.

Then I "believe" there is a service tool that does not require codes.....but never seen one used.

The biggest query I have is the P50 has the centre orange light on. (Not flashing) but I can't find documentation that tells me what it means.
I think the same light flashing means 1 or more carts not recognised.
It does in the 1500w but that has the same head but more lights and buttons.

I suspect that head is cream crackered on that one as pushing ink in the cart spigots it oozes out of the ones either side of it.

You just can't buy printers that fit those cartridges and I have loads inc ciss systems.

Yes I used to have 3 x 1400 printers. I fitted all those with external waste ink collectors. But sadly I believe my !@#£%& father in.law disposed of them when he poked his nose in and emptied my back room into a shed I had just put up.
Plan was to sort stuff before moving but he is a sad son of a #£%^& and never had a hobby in his life.

Anyway back to printers...lol. I know the printers count the cleaning cycles but did not think they could monitor ink usage.

that service tool was good had options on what you wanted to reset

one click and it reset what you wanted from the heads to the ink reset so you could continue to use the printer until inkpad was full then you had to reset the whole printer when the ink pad was change out

the service tool took the printer back to factory condition and you could continue printing until the heads where worn out on the printer itself

its not a monitor its like 2 pins when the ink pad is fully wet they close the loop of low power and thats when you need a new ink pad

The word on the street is the service disc does work on windows 10 but I can't confirm that.

I have just purchased an Xp 445 that sounds as if it needs heads unblocking.
It was only a tenner and has 4 brand new carts plus those in it, so I hope to have an inkjet running to print the grandsons photos for Xmas presents etc.
I also have a Bj 1100 (I think) but it's a 4 cart A3 printer and I prefer 6 colours.
But needs must so I might use that to print sublimation. Time is against me as per usual.
I should already be running my Atomstack laser to cut birch ply boxes by now but instead I now need to clean my Oki 5750 colour laser to ensure I can at least print quickly if needed.. (it's leaving black splodges on the prints. )

That's what I am hoping to source by the weekend one way or another.

I am surprised the fix for over filled pads (before they got filled) was not a pair of wire cutters in that case..lol

Well one of the discs turned up but sadly whilst it looks exactly what I need for the P50 it does not work for the 1500W which is the most expensive one to replace.

I have actually fitted a new head yesterday into the 1500W but sadly it still does not print ink.

I Facebook forum suggests an internal fuse might have gone but it's the first time I have ever heard about a fuse preventing ink on paper.
The head cleans work as ink goes along the waste pipe .
I wish I could find out exactly how this damn printers actually work.
The advent of ECO tanks have made an A3 printer that you could get for around 250 quid now cost 700 upwards. In other words unaffordable in reality.
They actually still block the heads if not used regular as well. Lol

Looks like it might be a fuse.
Anyone able to identify what they are so I can buy from RS. I don't really want to wait until February for them.
