hi all, im restoring a old vw, and at the mo cleaning my calipers, in a bath of, salt and washing powder with battery charger works well,, but after right away after the bath there flash rusting again? my questions are about epoxy, paint , primer,? on these calipers and even body panels, that are rusted,, iv no blasting gear so thats left me with grinders and chipping away the bad bits, wire brushing best i can,, how do you use this epoxy, and also read that you can fill with body filler over the epoxy for damage, and or dints in the panels? do you sand it up for a good bond,, and can you put over rust, thats been cleand up, with grinder,, ??? sorry lots of questions , and thanks very much,

Bin the salt in your tank. That will not help.
When they have come out hit the hard with a wire brush in an angle grinder.
It will force the black oxide into the metal. it will keep rust at bay for a while.
