Epoxy Primer

Hi
I was just wondering how do you apply epoxy primer to bare metal and when dry what do you put on top of it, a high build primer or rub it down and put your base coat on.By the way this is on the outside of the car.
Also can anyone recommend any good paint factors around the St Albans area, Cheers Folks.

Hi Travis, do a search mate as there is an awful lot about epoxy primers in the paint section, check the spec on the epoxy you buy and make sure it is intended for bare metal, apply with spray gun with 1.8 m nozzle, or un thinned with brush or roller and then when it is set, you can sand it wet or dry and spray top coat straight on to it, it is after all a primer.

What Flapdisk said is good advice. Just to add, you can flat the epoxy and put your topcoat on direct. If you need a lot of build and flatting back then you should put 2k primer on top.
