Hey peeps. I've been asked to put the word out, so...
Artemis Intelligent Power are on the hunt for new staff. There's new investment money coming in, and the projects are getting exciting.
Jobs going include:
Machine shop technician. Ideally apprentice tool room trained, required to use lathe, mill, grinder etc, CNC Bridgeport Interact mills amongst others, Colchester, Lorch, Hardinge lathes. High precision stuff.
Electronics technician. Ideally apprenticed. Building circuitry 'n' ting.
Patents engineer. This is a purely R and D company, so almost everything that comes out of here needs examined for patent-worthiness.
There are other positions going too in design and simulation engineering, or something like that. If anyone has apprentice/degree standard engineering quals, and interested in working in cutting edge hydraulic R and D, have a look at the website linked above, and go to the "jobs" page.
The salaries are not necessarily the best in the world, but I have to say, it's a great company to work for, with a very academic/university basis, so very little pressure, lots of support, and plenty of opportunity to be at the heart of the development of award-winning, major new power transmission technologies.
The company is on the outskirts of Edinburgh, which is without doubt the best city in the UK to live in. And I mean that.
Any questions, PM me and I'll do what I can to answer.
Si
ps, they are advertising in the normal channels, but most of you probably don't get The Scotsman....
