Engineer`s Merchants: N.Wales/Chester?

Hiya!
Are there any 'old fashioned' engneer`s suppliers in the eastern part of North Wales or Chester area: the sort that`ll sell "quality" drill bits/hole-saws and decent emery/abrasives etc.....I`m not wanting to buy wholesale quantities though and a place with a friendly/knowledgable counter-crew would be a real bonus!

Dunno if they're still there -- there used to be a very good hardware place on the main shopping street in Chester: walk from the station towards the city centre and there it is/was, on your left. Zardoz will know.

I always found Chester a fair bit better for tools/fastners/etc than Liverpool, but that was 20 years ago, things may well have changed.

FWB Coedpoeth have pretty much everything including steel and they sell Dormer drill bits. You can't go far wrong with them or GMS at Chester.
