engine paint 2k

Hi is normal 2k car body paint good for engines as it would look a nice finnish sprayed on or will it come off with heat ,or should I use brush on engine enamel an put up with brush marks etc cheer's

yeah it lasts fine except exhaust parts

either 2k or smoothrite enamel sprayed on. use an etch primer 1st

2k is fine on heads and blocks, surface needs to be very clean, epoxy primer is the key to a lasting job.
