I have some bmc green engine enamel I had from the mini spares centre, I have brush painted the block but would like to spray the rocker cover, I have read the tin and can't find out what base the paint is, anyone any idea what I could add to thin it for spraying, I have epoxy, 2k and cellulose thinners also some white spirit. If I mix a small amount with each if it mixes does that mean its suitable.

did the paintbrush u used wash out with turps. if so mix a bit with a dab of paint and put a bit on some scrap metal leave overnite and see if it goes hard it will thin with celly thinners even household gloss will but it may react on top of a previous coating
I bought a cheap brush and threw it away so didn't try. I will be stripping cover to bare metal and could put an epoxy primer on so hopefully shouldn't react with whatever I put over the top, it's just the rocker cover needs a better finish than brush. Will try a bit of cellulose then see if it causes any problems.
