Engine bay material

I’m after a Mercedes Benz sound deadening material that goes on the bulkhead looks like this.

any suggestions chaps?

Looks like it could be a backed jute felt or, if that surface is more like hard vinyl then hardura.

I don't think that's the bitumen type, looks more like the latex backing

last stuff I installed had a lead layer in it too , worked well. But that was ten years ago .

It’s very much like carpet that had originally a shiny finish

it’s 1963 so must be period correct

Best to get a bit of asbestos into the mix then

it does but the stuff looks black. On the other two cars we have it’s the same
