end of the last classics?

I was faffing on ebay earlier and saw this

when do you lot reckon the last of the cars of this sort of era will be through ebay? not that im asking as iv got a 3ltr bentley hidden away(no i really dont)
But when will all of the barns be empty of cars like this?

Makes you wonder. Someone offered an E-Type Jag on Freecycle a few months ago! This was his late father's and the guy had no idea what it was.

last year i did a garage clearance and there was a mint E type complete clam shell it made a huge amount of money and i mean new car money

Got a pile of A7 stuff I need to shift. Bought as a job lot to get something I really needed. Six engines, three gearboxes, a chassis, some wheels and axles but no bodies. Had hoped an A7 enthusiast might have them but the two guys who came wanted them for nothing so they may well go on fleabay.

Quite a bit of TR7 stuff too, but difficult to get into the roof with my gammy leg!

You know when ebay has the 4 pictures at the bottom of the page of most watched items, it was on there and got me thinking.

I keep looking at Jago's, a mate had an early SWB Jeep (pre Geep) based on an Anglia and it was a lot of fun. I suspect that due to prices some of the Escort based ones may end up as Escorts again.

As for when the older cars will stop turning up they may decline but families tend to hold on to relics for years and they get passed between generations especially if houses stay within the family. I know there's stuff in our loft that's been there since 1958, the house itself was only 9 years old then!

Three weeks next Wednesday at half past three according to Nostradamus, he has been wrong before though as he predicted that the Metro would be available with a five speed gearbox by 1987 and it took years longer.

Friend has a Hustler (mini based jeep) in his garage here. Waiting for it to be old enough to 'grandfather' it through the test. Aparently designed by the guy who did the Aston Martin Lagonda.
