I have seen a lathe today that has Elso on the door, It may be up for grabs depending on price but does anyone know anything about this make or what kind of value to put on it?
You need to see how worn and corroded it is really, from the pictures I wouldn't want to pay very much for it. You can bet there are unobtainable bits missing too so factor in having to spend time and money on making replacements.
Its not junk but not desirable either, but any turner worth his salt could earn a living with it.
Must be able to for it to have been manufactured. Norton gearbox separate feed rod for feeds and there seems to be a good sized bull gear for back gear arrangements
Dont like wooden frame.
