I used one a few years ago with another employer so they must have UK dealers, not that well constructed for heavy duty work but fine for light - medium jobs.

Believe they are American.

They seem very well thought of on American metalwork forums.

Don't seem to see many (any?) U.K. Sellers so back up may be limited in this country.

@Mee what model did you use and what made you think it was not that well constructed? What do you mean by heavy/medium duty?

I've found one on eBay here in the UK and spoken to Ellis and there is no UK distributor but one of there dealers ships to the UK so there must be a few in fab shops over here

What is the availability of spares like with no dealer network?

Rather than specifically asking about what could be a relatively unknown brand in the U.K. I would ask for recomendations from users doing the type of work you envisage doing with it. There are plenty of people on here working in fab shops and suchlike that have tons of experience in choosing and buying these sorts of things. If you restrict yourself to one brand then you may not get much response, plus you'll have to start a new thread if you change your mind!

Is it going to be used heavily in a fab shop, hobby use or occasional light work? What material/size/thickness will you be cutting with it?

Coal board or when you built a Tesco?

What work were you doing? On one site the cutting of sprinkler pipe is classed as heavy cutting, another site cutting 6" C section is medium duty.

So stop being vague and give details.

I'd seen the saw one saw on eBay and wondered if there was a dealer for spares etc. I've seen the brand plenty on US TV shows in fab shops so thought they might be a nice bit of kit. Without a UK dealer I'm not interested though. I will stick to what I can get spares for
