Guys and Gals
I have recently bought the above cutter of ebay. What made me do it was the German sounding name and a quick research showing that they do actually make them (used to?) in Germany. I am sure they are made out of parts brought over from China, Vietnam etc. This is fine with me. It looks quality and it feels good. But.. it does not work.
The seller on ebay said it would work when I mentioned it arrived with an extra dent. Now that it does not work he promised to ask his colleagues. He reckons it will be something minor. I well hope it will as I want to keep it.
Now to the issue. Machine powers up, the fan goes on as soon as I power it up but there is no air. No air and no arc. I use my Hydrovane as a air supply and it works ok with air guns, ratchets and all other garage tools so the pressure should not be an issues.
I am not sure how these work but I am expecting either the solenoid or the torch to be an issue. Other than that I would not have a clue where to start.
I look forward to opinions and pointers.
